An American Company

The Weaver Popcorn story begins in 1928 with Reverend Ira E. Weaver. Ira Weaver began his business shucking and bagging and delivering his own carefully grown popcorn.

Ira's business thrived. Even in the face of the Great Depression, people were willing to spend a few cents on a bag or two of Ira Weaver's fresh, great tasting popcorn. Then, as now, popcorn was considered a special, affordable treat for kids and grownups alike.

Today, Weaver Popcorn covers tens of thousands of acres planted in the U.S. and Argentina. We plant specially developed hybrid seed. Ira's horse drawn wagon has become a fleet of vans, trucks, and tankers delivering our products to the right places at the right time, for all of our customers in the global marketplace. Our products can be found in over 90 countries, including Argentina, Brazil, Bulgaria, Russia and Taiwan.

But Reverend Weaver's legacy still drives our company. In fact, his grandchildren and great-grandchildren carry on the legacy, and they believe in quality and customer satisfaction just as much as Ira Weaver did. No sale is complete if the customer isn't satisfied, whether down the street or half way around the world. Just the way Ira would have wanted it.
